Affiliate Program
Effective Date: May 2026
RC: 7023678
Welcome to the Techclout Africa Affiliate Program! We are genuinely excited to have you here. This program is our way of rewarding people who believe in what we are building and want to share it with their networks.
Before you sign up, please take a few minutes to read through these terms carefully. They are not just legal fine print. They explain how the program works, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. By completing your affiliate registration, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to everything in this document.
1. Who We Are
Techclout Africa Limited (RC 7023678) is a Lagos-based tech media and personal branding company. We help individuals and businesses tell better stories, build stronger brands, and show up powerfully across digital platforms. Our services cover everything from media amplification and social media optimization to personal branding, book writing and publishing, talent placement, and mentorship.
Our affiliate program is an extension of that mission. We want people who genuinely resonate with what we do to earn real income by connecting us with the right clients.
2. Who Can Join
The Techclout Africa Affiliate Program is open to individuals and businesses who meet the following basic criteria:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You have an active online presence, whether through social media, a blog, a newsletter, a podcast, or any other platform.
- You are not currently an employee or contractor of Techclout Africa.
- You are based in Africa or have an audience that is primarily African-focused or Africa-adjacent.
- You agree to promote Techclout Africa services honestly and accurately.
We reserve the right to decline any application that does not align with our brand values or that we believe could create reputational risks.
3. How the Commission Works
3.1 Your Commission Rate
As a Techclout Africa affiliate, you earn a 5% commission on every confirmed and completed sale you refer to us. This applies across all our core services, unless a specific service is listed as excluded at the time of your sign-up or in a communication from our team.
3.2 What Counts as a Referral
A referral is valid when a client:
- Clicks your unique affiliate link and proceeds to make a purchase within 30 days, OR
- Explicitly mentions your name or referral code during onboarding or at the point of payment.
We track referrals using cookies and referral codes. If a potential client clears their cookies or uses a different device before completing a purchase, that referral may not be tracked automatically. In such cases, if the client mentions your name, we will do our best to manually attribute the commission to you.
3.3 What Does Not Count
The following will not qualify for commission:
- Referrals from yourself, meaning you cannot refer your own purchase.
- Referrals involving family members living in the same household.
- Purchases that are later refunded or cancelled before completion.
- Transactions where fraud, misrepresentation, or policy violations are involved.
3.4 Commission Calculation
Commission is calculated on the net transaction value. This means we deduct any applicable taxes or third-party payment processing fees before applying the 5% rate.
4. Getting Paid
4.1 Payment Schedule
Commissions are paid out once every month, specifically during the first two weeks of the following month. For example, all confirmed commissions earned in May will be processed and paid by the 14th of June.
4.2 Minimum Payout Threshold
We have a minimum payout threshold of 10,000 Naira (or its equivalent in the currency of your country). If your accumulated commission has not reached this threshold by the end of the month, it rolls over to the next month until the threshold is reached.
4.3 Payment Methods
We currently process affiliate payments via:
- Nigerian bank transfer (for affiliates within Nigeria)
- Flutterwave or Paystack (for cross-border payments within Africa)
- PayPal (available upon request for international affiliates)
You are responsible for ensuring that your payment details are accurate and up to date. Techclout Africa will not be responsible for any payment delays resulting from incorrect information provided by the affiliate.
4.4 Taxes and Compliance
As an affiliate, you are an independent contractor and not an employee of Techclout Africa. You are solely responsible for declaring and paying any taxes applicable to your commission income in your country of residence.
5. Promoting Techclout Africa
5.1 What You Can Do
We want you to be creative and authentic in how you promote us. You are welcome to:
- Share your affiliate link across your social media platforms.
- Write honest reviews or testimonials about our services.
- Feature us in newsletters, podcasts, YouTube videos, or blog posts.
- Recommend us to your professional network and communities you belong to.
5.2 What You Cannot Do
The following promotional practices are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of your affiliate account:
- Making false, exaggerated, or misleading claims about our services or pricing.
- Running paid ads (Google Ads, Meta Ads, etc.) using our brand name, trademarks, or any variation of them without prior written approval from us.
- Spamming email lists, forums, comment sections, or social media groups.
- Promoting us on platforms or within content that promotes illegal activity, hate speech, adult content, or anything that contradicts our values.
- Using artificial means such as bots or click farms to generate fake referral traffic.
- Impersonating Techclout Africa or its team members in any capacity.
5.3 Brand Guidelines
When using our name, logo, or any branded assets, you must follow the brand guidelines we provide to affiliates. All branded materials must be obtained from our official affiliate resources page. Do not redesign, distort, or alter our logo or brand colors in any way.
6. Your Affiliate Account
6.1 Account Responsibility
You are responsible for keeping your affiliate account credentials secure. Do not share your login details or affiliate link with anyone else. Each affiliate link is unique to you, and any commissions generated through it are attributed to your account alone.
6.2 Accurate Information
You must provide accurate and truthful information when signing up and whenever you update your account details. Any attempt to provide false information to manipulate commission payouts will result in account suspension and potential legal action.
6.3 Account Monitoring
Techclout Africa reserves the right to monitor affiliate activity to ensure compliance with this agreement. If we notice any suspicious patterns or violations, we will reach out to you first before taking any action, unless the violation is severe or clearly fraudulent.
7. Program Changes and Termination
7.1 Changes to the Program
We may update the commission rate, payment terms, or any other aspect of this program from time to time. When we do, we will notify active affiliates via email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued participation in the program after that notice period means you accept the updated terms.
7.2 Ending Your Participation
You can choose to leave the affiliate program at any time by sending an email to nathaniel@techclout.africa. Any outstanding commissions that have been validated and approved will still be paid out to you according to the regular payment schedule.
7.3 Termination by Techclout Africa
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your affiliate account if:
- You violate any part of these terms and conditions.
- We find evidence of fraudulent activity or misrepresentation.
- Your promotional methods damage or risk damaging our brand reputation.
- You have had zero referral activity for 12 consecutive months.
In the event of termination due to policy violations, any pending commissions may be forfeited at our discretion.
8. Intellectual Property
All Techclout Africa trademarks, logos, service names, and branded content remain our exclusive property. Your participation in the affiliate program does not grant you any ownership rights over our intellectual property. You may use our branded materials only as permitted under our brand guidelines and only for the purpose of promoting the affiliate program.
Any content you create to promote Techclout Africa remains your property, but by creating it, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to share or feature that content on our own platforms, with appropriate credit to you.
9. Confidentiality
During your time as an affiliate, you may come across information about our pricing strategies, clients, internal processes, or upcoming services that is not publicly known. You agree to keep all such information strictly confidential and not to disclose it to any third party without our written permission.
This confidentiality obligation continues even after your affiliate relationship with us has ended.
10. Limitation of Liability
Techclout Africa is not responsible for any losses, damages, or missed earnings that may result from changes to the program, delays in payment processing outside of our control, or the performance of the services you refer clients to.
In any case, our maximum liability to any affiliate under this agreement shall not exceed the total commissions paid to that affiliate in the three months preceding the date of any claim.
11. Dispute Resolution
If you ever have a concern or dispute about your commissions or any aspect of this program, the first step is to reach out to us directly at nathaniel@techclout.africa. We commit to responding to all affiliate concerns within 5 business days.
If we cannot resolve the issue informally, we are open to structured mediation. This agreement is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and any legal proceedings shall be conducted in Lagos, Nigeria.
12. General Provisions
- This agreement represents the entire understanding between you and Techclout Africa regarding the affiliate program and supersedes any previous verbal or written discussions.
- If any clause in this document is found to be unenforceable, the rest of the agreement remains fully valid and in effect.
- Your rights under this agreement are personal to you and cannot be transferred or assigned to another person or entity.
- Our failure to enforce any part of this agreement at a given time does not mean we have waived the right to enforce it later.
A Quick Note from Us
We built this program because we genuinely want people in our corner to grow with us. If you ever have questions about how something works, need clarity on a clause, or just want to chat about how to make the most of your affiliate partnership, our door is always open.
Reach us at nathaniel@techclout.africa and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Here is to building something great together.
